Let's get your organisation funded

Grant Writing Support

Grant Writing Support

You’ve set up your CIC — now let’s secure the funding to actually deliver the work and to pay yourself too!

I’ve successfully secured grant funding from:

  • National Lottery Awards for All

  • Arts Council England

  • SCVO

  • Heart of England Community Foundation

  • West Midlands Police

  • Sports England

I dont just write grants. I’m a CIC founder who understands how the funding works.

This support is for you if....

  • You run a CIC or community organisation

  • You're an individual artist

  • You’re overwhelmed by grant applications or don’t know where to start

  • You’ve been rejected before and don’t want to waste time again

  • You want funding that actually aligns with your values and impact

  • You struggle with completing application forms

  • You just dont have the time to write your own grant applications

My approach

My approach focuses on:

  • Clearly communicating your impact

  • Increasing your chances of success with strong, funder-aligned applications, ensuring that you meet the funders' priorities

  • Every grant application is tailored to your organisation, no templates, no copy-and-paste, no generic AI output.

Your options

  • Grant Writing Support - I will support you with your project idea and write your application for you

  • Grant Application Review - I will support you with your resubmissions so that you can resubmit your applications with confidence

  • Arts Council England - Are you an artist or a CIC seeking an Arts Council grant? If yes, you can request that I be your official support worker to support you directly with your application. This is aligned with Arts Council England’s Access Support guidance, where they fund support workers like me to support you directly.

This support is designed to help applicants who may experience barriers when applying for funding — including Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent applicants, and those experiencing poor physical or mental health.

If you would like me to be your support worker, then please get in touch, and I will advise you on how this works.

CIC Resources

Through setting up and running my own CIC, I became very aware of how many practical tools and clear systems were missing at the early stages. I often found myself unsure how to track progress, stay organised, or keep on top of funding ideas and deadlines, and I know this is something many new CIC founders struggle with. As a result, I created simple resources to support founders with the things I personally found most challenging. These tools are designed to be practical, easy to use, and genuinely helpful, especially for those starting out.

  • Grant Application Tracker - Keep on top of every funding application, deadline and decision all in one place.

  • Project Planner - Map out your idea, outcomes, and delivery plan clearly so you can approach funders with confidence.

  • Grant Spender Tracker - Easily record and report how your grant money is spent, making reporting simple and stress-free.

Accounting software

The tools below are ones I often recommend to founders because they support good governance, protect your privacy, and make day-to-day admin much easier. You are always free to choose alternatives that work best for you. Some links may be affiliate links, which means I may receive a small referral fee at no additional cost to you.

Examples of tools in this category include accounting software that supports the NEW Making Tax Digital and UK reporting requirements. It's also worth noting that some of these may be free or discounted when opening up a business/community bank account.

  • FreeAgent - Very easy to use (low learning curve), built with UK tax rules in mind, fully MTD-compliant, Excellent for directors who are not finance-confident

  • QuickBooks - Fully HMRC-compatible, strong invoicing tools, mobile app for receipts

  • Xero - Very robust and scalable, widely used by accountants and bookkeepers, strong reporting for funders and trustees, fully MTD-ready

Keeping your address safe

When you register a CIC, a registered office address is required and is made publicly available on Companies House. Many founders choose to use a virtual office or registered address service to keep their home address private, especially if they work from home. Here are some choices for you.
